14 points in 10 games for Myers/Staff

Myers 25 plus minutes +2 and an assist tonight
Stafford a goal and an assist.

I'm still amazed we gave up that much

It's hard to judge anyone on this sh!tty team. Had they played this well maybe they wouldn't have had to give up so much.

Wonder if he still does the deal if McEichel isn't within his grasp.

I think so. He basically said he's had his eye on Bogosian and Kane for a while and seized the opportunity.

At least Armia is off to a cold start

I think it's just Kane he's really wanted, I'm still holding out on the very unlikely possibility that they flip Bogosian at the draft/off-season.

Hopefully his next trade is a little less high risk/reward.

Nick Baptiste with 2 goals tonight. 8 goals in 8 games. Kid is gonna be a good one. He hasa spot in the top six in a couple years.

Next, Grigorenko ends up in Colorado. Would be in his best interest.

I might be in the minority but I think it would be best for him to go there. We get ROR to be out top line center next year with McDavid and Reinhart behind him. I'm cool with that.

Despite him being incredibly mediocre, they need to keep Bogo. Ristolainen is worrying me. He sucks lately. He is "the future" now

I can't believe Drury and Briere got away in the same season and still don't know whether to blame Darcy or LaRey Quinn.

That would make it 6 since they are down 4 already
- druryisclutch

That's correct. I forgot about the loser point they got last night.

Both Risto and Zads have looked like poop lately.

Agreed. This team obviously has a ton to do with it but they haven't necessarily improved since the season began

They are kids playing on a historically bad team. I'll give them the benifit of the doubt.

When your forwards never possess the puck the defense is definitely going to be exposed. Shea Weber and Drew Doughty would be solid minus players on this squad.

Yes, I've noticed that as well. However, given their age and the fact that this team was designed with the sole purpose of losing it really hasn't bothered as much.

It'd be more concerning to me if they had regressed in a year where the team has gotten significantly better (aka next year).

I get the idea of having Bogosian there to eat up the minutes, i'd just prefer someone else that's all.

Bogosian will end up being a good 3-4 for us down the road. He just doesn't have any offensive instincts or enough awareness in general to be great.

How do you get a shot blocked into the stands so easily on a 2 on 1??

We made the Jets a contender
- sbroads24

In all seriousness, though, even if this trade were to propel the Jets to a Cup this year (which it won't), it's still not necessarily a loss for Buffalo. That trade was about making Buffalo better next year, and if it does that, then I'm okay with it, regardless of what Myers and Stafford do for the Jets.

It will never be a "loss" because the Sabres are going to be a good team with or without Kane, Myers Bogosian or anyone else involved.

That's kind of a cop out saying it doesn't matter what they do or don't do. So far Myers is producing at a rate that Kane wasn't even doing and Stafford is playing well in their top 6. Not to mention the 3 other pieces we handed them.

There is a very good chance we gave up the best player, along with 4 other pieces. If that ends up the case, we lost the trade.
