They only put overtime in the NHL for the 83-84 season. Before that, there were ties after regulation. Nowadays goalies get credit for shootout wins.

If the team has consistency with the defensive side of things throughout the playoffs they will give a lot of teams trouble. They already spend more time on the PK than most teams and their PP is atrocious, so when the whistles get put away they are going to need to rely on that solid 5-on-5 play and simply outscoring the other team, even if its 1-0 every damn game.

These fancy stats are useless ... the only stat that matters is how many point you have in the standings.

If the team has consistency with the defensive side of things throughout the playoffs they will give a lot of teams trouble. Its a far cry from a few years back when it was all PP. Do they have what it takes, meh maybe. Gonna need some guys to step up and some bounces but I like the team.
