Scoreline is pretty embarrassing considering the gutting Zona had done to them. Only scoring one real goal on Arizona is pathetic. Is anyone really remotely confident heading into the playoffs with that kind of offence? When does it end with the 'well the goalie, played out of his mind' and turn to maybe it's not so much the goaltending but our complete and utter lack of offensive ability. Holy (frank) that's some atrocious offensive displays we've suffered through on this trip. Every game makes it clearer and clearer that this is the Price & Patches show(offensively for him anyway). If those two don't carry the burden in both cases this team is (frank)ed.

Yes I did. As well as every other game on the road trip except the LA game. The late games mean I can actually see them play instead of PVR'ing almost all of them.

Those wondering: Martin Brodeur’s 48 wins for Devils is NHL record for a single season, 2006-07, 78 games played

And what you took from this game is tha Carey Price won by himself and that Mike Smith didn't play a great (frank)ing game? I mean, really?

Here's my question to you. Why is it that whenever Montreal plays someone, somehow the goalie plays 'a great (frank)ing game'? Something is wrong there.

To do it with the guys he has in front of him vs what Plante and Dryden did would be a huge accomplishment. Thank goodness they drafted Price instead of Kopitar and traded Halak away... otherwise we could be in the same boat as TO or even worse EDM.

Smith stood on his head, especially in the 1st. When was the last time they outshot someone 14-3 in the 1st period? Having said that of course its a worry, they are challenged offensively.

Yeah, Luongo had 47 that year. There are a bunch of guys in the 40's now. Like Varlamov last year. Bryz actually had 42 with the Yotes.

If the system is to make every goalie look great, awesome. Mission accomplished. If their system is to get outshot almost every game by a decent margin, mission accomplished. If their system is to run around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to retrieve the puck only to not be able to and constantly ice it all the (frank)ing time, again mission accomplished. That's dog poop.

They are also first in goal against ... their play style has an effect on their low offense.

I disagree.

They only put overtime in the NHL for the 83-84 season. Before that, there were ties after regulation. Nowadays goalies get credit for shootout wins.
