nope, but it was a good car for me...I didn't had to put much money on it. Surprising because today's Volkswagen cars are pieces of junk. I guess they made them better back then.

TDI's are still pretty good.

My wife has a jetta wagon. It's nice enough to drive but it's a lemon.

My boss's wife had a TDI and then an Eos

Once with the TDI she had an exterior door panel that was loose.

She took it to the dealer, the mechanic said: "Mam, that's just a couple of screws that got loose and fell" like that's something that happens every day with any car.

The problem with Volks is that they age very quickly and badly.

The TDI engine's run forever. I'm not a volks fan but if I wanted a commuter car I'd consider one, especially given the the 1000km per tank of diesel. They now also come with lifetime rust protection I think.

Anyways, I like Toyota but I drive an SUV.

I'd probably get a Lexus if I were to buy a car.

Of course, perfect car for a salesman that does a lot mileage.

Don't know about the rust protection thing, but what has surprised me (I've driven both the TDI and the Eos) is that it doesn't take much time with the car to start hearing some unreassuring sounds all around the car...you know, clickings, inside finition for instance, like stuff get loose, etc.

I remember during rainy days, the roof of the Eos would leak in some places. I know it's a hard top convertible but it's not normal

The Boston Bruins took care of two of their biggest offseason question marks today, signing pending restricted free agents Torey Krug and Reilly Smith to extensions. Krug’s extension is a one-year deal that keeps him in Boston for 2015-16 at $3.4 million, while Smith’s is a two-year pact with a $3.425 million cap-hit. Both will remain restricted free agents when their new deals expire.

Used was a 1982 Honda Civic wagon. Good for shagging in the back at least.

Yeah, moonroof had leaking issues on my wife's volkswagen. I'm really not keen on getting another one. The ABS module went this winter while I was driving on the northern highways, the thermostat went last winter when it was -30.

Unfortunately, I'm stuck driving her jetta while she drives my Highlander. I paid $35K to drive that thing.

I figure I'll trade it in once I save up a bit of cash and either get a 4Runner or something else I can use up here in the wilderness.
