I'm a firm believer that the team that gets the best player wins the deal. ROR is a drury-like player. As you said Ennis is nice and Grigo is an unknown.

There's places on this planet where this type of heresy will get you drawn and quartered.

The goalie market is huge this offseason. Many teams have their starters locked in... Only teams with question marks is Buffalo, Dallas, Edmonton, Minny if they don't retain Dubs, Ott maybe depending on how they feel about one of their 3 and SJ.

Buffalo, Edmonton and San Jose will be without starting caliber goaltenders come July 1st. I think we sign one and trade for a promising backup.

If the Flames don't re-sign Ramo, he might be a possibility.

If the Sabres are gonna sign guys like Neuvirth or Dubnyk, I think 3 year deals would be a good time line and let Petersen and Ullmark develop in Rochester. I would think in 3 years those two could be ready.

- mhp

I would go after:
Neuvirth
Dubnyk
Jones (Trade, theoretically since he's an RFA)
Ramo
Hutchinson
Andersen/Gibson (if one is available via trade)
Kuemper (I still believe he can be more consistent)

I forgot about Hammond.

He could make Lehner available.

If they bring him back to be a goalie, I expect a trade with the sens for the other net minder

True, but I doubt it. I just can't see them retaining Anderson over Lehner.

Am I the only one who's skeptical of Dubnyk. This year has been his only solid year. I understand where he's previously been, but I feel like he's Mike Smithing this year and will fall back down to mediocrity.

Either way, we could get a good stop gap goaltender.

I don't think so. I think he finally had a coach give him the right tools.

Can't argue with that. They should have one available if Hammond continues this play down the stretch.

I'm trying to figure out who Murray could have been talking about as good backups/possible split starters.

I wonder if there are some surprises like Lehner, Allen, Gibson. I feel like Jones is the top of the list as Quick is not going anywhere.

Good luck nailing that down. There's probably 15-20 logical options.

bernier/remier are both options as well... there are a lot of decent RFA goalies out there that may or may not be the truth

What about that college free agent from BU and the kid we got from Winnipeg ?

Matt O'Connor.

It is rumored that the Sabres are one of a handful of teams interested in singing Matt after his college season is over with Boston University.

I watched Kiko play every game 2 seasons ago....he was dynamic...he was also runner up for defensive rookie of the year...at a position the bills lacked a great player for years at...and now he's gone...for a running back that could have been replaced another route.

I can totally understand Rex wanting his guys...but why wouldn't he want a potential all pro player? And what "reports" do you speak of? Why would he want him gone from day 1 as you say...that makes zero sense.

And billieve you me...after 15 years of this crap...freak outs are acceptable.

- siket71

I liked Kiko, I watched every game also, He was in the right place at the right time early in the season, and as the season wore on, made many poor decisions. I think Buffalo fans love to over hype our blue collar athletes. I'm not saying I agree with getting McCoy, and I don't doubt that Kiko won't turn into a decent starter, but to enshrine the man into Bills lore after one season is a bit too much.

Right now mine is in a box... I may as well bring it here and give them a taste of what home and real wings taste like.

They all love Buffalo Wild Wings...
