Paul Martin turned too old for anything more than a 3 year deal today! Congrats Paul

I'd rest Pouliot throughout the remainder of the season and play him here and there so he stays warm, but like I said on the first page of this thread, he should not be sitting come playoff time unless he shows he can't handle his marbles.

I agree ... we have a decent D-corps now (Scuderi has a few good bright spots - much better than last year, that's for sure). Play 6-D all the time and rest one of Scuderi, Pouliot, Cole, Erhoff (not sure what is up with him).

If Erhoff can play, who sits?

Scuds. That crazy gap he gave Iginla to open the second period should earn him a night in the box against the Ducks; then put him in to face LA. We'll see what Rob Scuderi shot out of a cannon looks like. I'll chart it out. In my estimation, it would be as follows:

If the line segment SPA for T1 is normal Scuderi mode, then the additional awareness and foot speed granted to Rob Scuderi after a motivational benching and playing a former team with whom he's won a championship in their building would be calculated as: f(x)= |x|+sin(x+Jamie Pushor). So as you can see, T2 as represented by line segment SQB places Scuderi closer to the optimum output of f(x)=cos(x+Olli Määttä ).

I still like this trade if e.stall stays in Carolina. And we're not resigning sutter. Trade sutter ehroff at the draft for kesler. Or at next season deadline sutter Harrington dumlion kesler will cost more but still like it. Makes our center position thougher down the middle.

Close, but the doohickey is off by 1/10 of a kajigger causing the entire thingamagoo to have a maximum output of (Olli Maatta) when the true maximum output of said equation is (Turd Sandwich)

Edit* - That gap he gave Iggy was nasty though, he has no confidence in his speed at all.

They made a deal to get Iggy to 20G this season, so he gets a bonus. The he splits some of that bonus with Scuds. I mean, do you know how tough it is to survive on $3.375mil/year??!?!

Scuds get's paid $40,000 per game to lay down on the ice and chip pucks out of the zone. I chose the wrong profession.

I'm not going to correct your math on that, due to the sarcasm being laced so thick if it was LSD you'd have killed a herd of elephants.

I think the Penguins' scouting staff really let them down in that game last night. The same center drive-kick puck over to the wing play yielded nine or ten scoring chances. The Avs' kids aren't all in the top twenty in scoring this season but you can't give up clear shooting lanes time and time again.

Sid really mailed it in. I find this troubling. When Sid visits MacKinnon, Duchene, and Landeskog I would have thought he would be determined to show them how it's done. Not dish a bunch of turnover backhands, finish -1 with 0 shots on net, and a 35% faceoff percentage. Had one shot blocked, one missed the net.

I disagree with a poster who thought Malkin played a weak game. His line was responsible for 9 shots and the only goal. 87's line had 7 shots but they were all from Hornqvist(!).

Seriously, what the hell was Scuderi thinking? It's Ig with the puck and perhaps 30 feet of fresh ice. Do anything but screen Fleur... it's in the net.

It'd be a waste of time. I wasn't looking for sound function, I was looking to bring Jamie Pushor into the Rob Scuderi Venn Diagram.

I'd still like to see Perron be given an extended chance on Malkins left side.
Kunitz Crosby Hornqvist
Perron Malkin Comeau
Winnik Sutter Bennett
Spaling Lappy Downie

I have no problem with this. I have no problem with almost nothing (since this was posted).

Not saying anything you said is wrong but why does Scuderi deserve to sit over his gaff but Pouliot shouldn't deserve to sit over his? Scuderi has been solid for the most part and his role on the pk really can't be replaced, Pouliot's role on the pp can be replaced. I'd be more confident in a veteran player bouncing back after a mistake than I would a rookie.

Rust Farnham Ebbett
Winnik Sutter Megna
Spaling Lappy Sid
