I'm just saying, there is nothing desperate about giving up a late round pick and saving 4.5 million in salary.

Sanchez is a bum. Hoyer is a bum. Locker is a hurt bum who will be way more expensive than 4.5 mill, Mallett the same. Who did you have in mind?

Point being they have Mettenberger and the ability to draft Winston or Mariota if they want. Locker is as expendable as Mezaros made Myers.

Hate to not shut up but c'mon. People screamed about their throbbing butt holes last summer when we didn't go out and get a veteran QB in the offseason, so we do this year and people scream about their aching butt holes.

Tell me how Matt Cassell is not = to Jake Locker, Brian Hoyer, Ryan Mallett, Kyle Orton, Mark Sanchez or any other of those bums you all(*) seem to have wanted for more money instead of giving up a crap draft pick?

*= you all as a placeholder for those who's bums hurt over the Matt Cassell trade

Been busy at work and home in evening...just sitting down so don't have a chance to read back all the pages....saw a couple about the a Cassel discussion.

So, while all Bills fans would LOVE to have a solid QB to foster a solid air game ... Given the reality of where the Bills are, and the QB FA pool this year, what do all the naysayers thank the Bills should do?

Whaley can't manufacture a Franchise QB, and anyone who has a 1% of being serviceable is locked up and ot going anywhere...what SOLUTION Do YOU have to improve the situation?

- IonSabres

there is no solution

no draft pick to get a potential top flight qb
only a handful of elite qb's, going nowhere
another 10 serviceable qb's, going nowhere

grab another qb, locker or moore and hope one of the 3 become a system qb

So we have what 5 picks in this year's draft plus the ability to trade for more? You draft an OL with your 2nd, a QB in the third, a CB in the 4th, a LB in the 5th and then add another depth position with your other picks.

I say you draft a QB every year in round 3 or later and try to develop for a couple years or make him earn his spot and if he loses it to someone else so be it. Worth the risk.

At the expense of giving up Ennis do you make the trade?

I'd take him over Hoyer and Sanchez, too. And that Dolph Lundgren doppelganger the Browns signed.

Why would it cost Ennis ? they can't pay ROR 7 mill and McKinnon also, along with 9 and 92. There D is horrible and we can help them with that.

Hypothetical. Let's say his extension is a part of the deal. Colorado says no to Freakorenko, asks for Ennis, Zads and a 1st. Do you do it?

After the last 30 hours, I refuse to speculate what they will do.

If they get that guard from the 49ers, I would either grab a tackle or the TE from Florida St in the second rd

If they get Davis from the 49ers for TE and the Guard, I would either go tackle or pass rusher with the second rd

you have to hit 50% of the time if you take a qb in the top 3 rds and edwards, and losman didn't cut it

then again neither did levi brown

for this season I would get another vet, draft a qb and stick that qb on the practice squad for the entire season

If you draft a QB every year you're bound to hit on one of them. I agree with most of your post. I wasn't factoring in any more FA moves or trades. But if we get the OL and TE out of SF, I still say you draft an OL every year too.
