Gee, Nolan is pretty quick to name Johnson the starter Friday, he would still be letting Lindback ride the pine if Neuvirth wasn't traded.

Doesn't mean the result will be any different than it was yesterday. Johnson's numbers this year leave a lot to be desired. He couldn't get the job done for the Isles who are at the top of their division. Why would he be any better here?

My point is, Nolan let Lindback sit and sit, now all of a sudden he switches goalies? He didn't want any part in seeing Lindback but now he wants to see Johnson ? Lindback would still be a clip board holder if Neuvirth was here.

That at least would make sense though, as Neuvirth is a much better goalie than Lindback is. There's probably only a marginal difference between Johnson and Lindback. It doesn't surprise me that they're going with Johnson Friday, since Lindback definitely was fighting the puck last night.

Some goalies need to get a string of starts to straighten that out. We may see Johnson's game pick up a bit if he gets a bunch of consecutive starts. They seem to get more into a rhythm and their timing gets better. Hopefully for us, that doesn't happen for either guy that's here.
