Freddie will be there, he is one of the BEST blocking backs in the league and still has some juice left to give!

What's your point? That they might get another guy? That makes the trade even worse.
- Pierceme69

And, again, who did you think was out there? Someone "for free"?

No matter who was brought in here, half the fans are going to cry about it. But, guess what? THERE ARE NO FRANCHISE QUARTERBACKS OUT THERE, via either trade or free agency.

Did you just want them to go into training camp with one guy?

When people say stuff like this, it gives me the impression they've never been in a football locker room.

If Vegas made odds for Jackson being cut, I think Freddie would be an underdog to be on this roster at the start of the season.

Someone always steps up one a player leaves

Really? Cause I've been in both a football locker room and a hockey locker room. Jackson is the coach on and off the field in the running back meetings. Rex Ryan is a players coach. Fred Jackson is a coaches player. To say he is an underdog to make the roster of a team he is captain of is a bit off the wall.

It doesn't work that way in the nfl, especially at his age, and throw in the fact he wasn't drafted by the coach or GM, and that the GM has traded for two RBs in the past two years.

Draft is deep in RBs, I would venture they still draft one in the layer rounds, who will be considerably cheaper and younger.

Again you are missing the point that Freddie is probably one of if not the best protecting backs in the game. Something the Bills found out that neither Spiller (since gone) McCoy (not gonna happen) or Brown or Dixon are very good at. His cap hit is something like 2.7 million not something that is going to cause an issue this season. On top of it his age is not something you can look at with him since he doesn't have the typical work load for a 34 year old RB

he is a bum. if he wasn't why would he be traded. The Vikings chose Christian Ponder over Cassel. That should say volumes.

Doesn't matter Bills need someone. He fits the criteria.

You're missing the point he is 34, they're now paying mccoy 9 plus million, Dixon makes a couple million, and Jackson nearly 3. You don't tie money into RBs abd expect to be successful.

If the bills keep him is a mistake, and are simply being too loyal.
