Yes they have, they sued th ones who said it for defamation and slander. That's saying it isn't true. Lawyers told them to not comment on it otherwise.

No. If the Twitter statement is true, in light of the potential lawsuit, would either Lupul and/or Cuthbert admit it to anything at this point? In the letter from the lawyer sent on their behalf he states the tweet was False.

They would be instructed not to comment on it further until the legal issue is resolved.

That's a pretty big assumption.

I have relatives who's parents allowed them from the time they were 12 to have their own computer and serf... You can guess what their lives are like now.. But people we know now allow it at 8-10. People are allowing the system and the net to raise their kids, and the results are the results...

well there are degrees of freedom that go along with everything... and while I'm absolutely NOT for people beating their kids, disciplining seems to have disappeared - the modern day time out is and always has been entirely useless.

social behavior is based on norms, if you got beyond those norms you are either shunned or put back in line - you hit someone, you should EXPECT to be hit back - not have the teacher call home to apologize on behalf of the other child.

short story: when I was a little kid our house was tomatoed by some local kids, no real damage done, but one heck of a mess. My mother got all emotional and upset and complaining how terrible it was... my father called the cops, spoke with the policeman for a ten minutes. The cop organized getting the kids who had done it, and in front of a good cross section of the neighborhood kids, the kids who did the throwing had to wash the house wall and garage door.

don't think we ever had any similar problem (we were new immigrants moving into the neighborhood).
