Just because Eric from Woodbridge said it a thousand times to his 12 followers doesn't make it any less wrong because it didn't get attention, but all those tweets could have (also) been picked up be the wrong person/network and run with in the same way this scenario happened. And for that reason, if you publish comments online, under your name, about other people...you'd better be prepared to deal with anyone who wants to challenge you for said comment.
