I'll use MMA as an analogy

Sometimes, in the UFC, you will see two jiu-jitsu black belts fight. But when the fight goes to the ground, one is clearly a superior grappler. Yet they both are black belts

leafs supporting 1/3 of the league each year has some merit

not that i think that will be part of the rigging process but if the league owes any teams its the leafs, habs and rangers the way i see it as they keep all the other franchises in the mix.
