If they don't & there have been rumors they won't this year, the cap comes in at 68 mil, 1 below this seasons. The Canadian dollar isn't rallying anytime soon. Most world banks are projecting it to continue it's decline down into the .72 range. That's a serious problem.

NYR has 68 million tied up in 15 players essentially for next season. Stepan, Hagelin, Miller & Fast are RFA's & St.Louis is a UFA. How are they going to solve that issue?

FYI u recall the Oilers merged from the WHA into the NHL. Never were an expansion team n never won a cup with an NHl team only from their WHA team.
