It's only a matter of time until they move

I hate to see them move but they have no following here.....Las Vegas Panthers |

Tallas could probably do better than Jakub Markstrom did tonight. Last about 8 minutes, gave up 3 goals on 4 shots. Only save he made, San Jose scored on the rebound |

i'd like to see him succeed. look at a guy like dubnyk...been around the block a lot already, and he's finally having success in minnesota. sustainable? maybe. |

and he's killed it in the AHL this year.
Boy Canucks really love their Swedish goalies, Lack, Markstrom and former Flyers (prospect) great Sunshine Eriksson.
Funny enough, Eriksson replaced Lack in Lesksands and was teammates with Markstrom in juniors with Brynas. |

Yeah, but outside of last season, Dubnyk has had decent NHL stats. Had 3 straight years, behind Edmonton's defense where he had save % of .916, .914 & .920 before last year's horror show.
What he's done in Minnesota is awesome, but he's show he can be a good solid NHL goalie in the past. Markstrom, outside of 7 games in 2011-12, has been mediocre or bad. |

He was the starter for the Nucks AHL team last year (Utica Comets) and put up decent stats for his first year in NA.
This season he's shared the load with Markstrom, although his numbers have dipped this year and nowhere near as good as Jacob's are. |

Crazy - that Chicago game was so awesome. The Blackhawks were so pissed losing that in the last seconds. - Pixote Andolini
Or the Pens-Flyers game that the Flyers came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 in OT. Hartnell tied it and won it. I was at both games and they were terrific. Game 4 of the 10' Cup Finals was crazy too. |

i remember that pens game too, although i was not at that game.
i was at the carcillo OT game vs NJ, game 4 OT vs Boston, game 5 vs. MTL...all great...and ran out of luck in game 6 vs Chicago.
the best game live for me was game 6 vs. Tampa in 2004. defeating NJ in game 5 that year that was also incredible. |

Already looking forward to July 1st and yes I mean past the draft.
I want Craig Berube gone. The players have to find it within themselves for motivation but Berube has to center this team. I'm not seeing a team out there. I'm seeing random players do random things at times. The Del Zotto turnover that led to the first goal for example. I also still can't believe they were satisfied with the way they played on Thursday against Toronto.
I have no doubt there will be changes but putting all your excitement into prospects and draft picks because things might be better in a number of years from now is leaving us on the hook. Even Toronto was able to move David Clarkson. I think it might be fair to suggest we just may go from Mark Streit, Brayden Coburn, Nicolas Grossmann and Luke Schenn to Michael Del Zotto, Samuel Morin, Nick Schultz, Radko Gudas.
I think I'm a little disappointed to not see an active new face of some sort. |

i would love to see morin make it next year. i don't think hextall has ruled out ghost...but he's got a long way to go missing most of this year which is just infuriating.
i have no interest in retaining berube either. or any of the other dead weight on the roster, but that's going to be impossible to shed in one offseason.

If they dont get rid of Berube, then there is no plan.
He cant coach his way out of a wet paper bag with a chainsaw in each hand
All I saw was lots of our top players being one on 3 or 4 last night.
2015-16 with a worse transitioning era defense and the same "system"
In the words of Groucho Marx from Duck Soup ( substituting team for country)
If you think this is team is in bad shape now just wait till I get through with it

So in his first game Coburn drops the gloves and gets third star Glad to see he is going to fit in and the town is going to try and rally behind him...hope he has success down there, he was really good for us and was a great trade pickup when we grabbed him.
While he found a way to be in the wrong place at the wrong time by deflecting goals into his own net, you could never say he took nights off...I think he always came to play, even if things didn't always work out... |

Leaky goal, but Jesus, MacDonald was awful on that - Jsaquella
It's 4 on 4 hockey and there is a lot of room out there. MacDonald kept his angle and kept his man to the outside, no differently then Nick Schultz did on the 2nd Calgary goal. Hudler the goal scorer is Del Zotto's check. Not only is Del Zotto directly in front of Hudler, and fails to tie up his stick, or block the shot, Brayden Schenn is directly behind and does nothing. Hudler was surrounded by 3 Flyers and got off a shot in the slot, and MacDonald gets criticized. |

I dont think it was Amac's fault there. Del Zotto and Mason for me... on that play. I am blaming our offensive go to guys for coming up small in the most important time of the season. All these games could've and should've been won and Giroux, Voracek, Couts, Schenn, Read have all come up small for the most part. Thats why we are currently 5 pts out and wont make the playoffs. |
