It's actually a triple negative (no one, doesn't think, can't make). So therefore, it's substantively the same as a single negative - bmeltzer
Now, THAT's clever.... |

I hear you, brother. I feel as comfortable saying this as I have anything about the Flyers, ever:
Get used to Andrew MacDonald being on this roster, like it or not
That dude is going absolutely nowhere - AllInForFlyers
Hextall has said as much, actually.
I can't find the link, but the way I heard Hextall say it, it was along the lines of "You don't dump a guy that is Year 1 in a 5 year deal" or something to that effect.

Yup, he'll be anchoring our 3rd pair at a ridiculous cost for another half decade
oh, happy, happy day!

Now, the Flyers will have seven picks in the first 101 slots in June, including two firsts, a second, two thirds and two fourths - Nos. 11, 24, 51, 73, 84, 96 and 101, not accounting for the lottery and how the final standings will shake out over the next 5 weeks.

Exactly, he was warning about the danger of rushing out and signing an average player to a 6 year, 30 million dollar deal. It's why I very much doubt he goes after any high priced UFAs in the offseason. And I 100% agree with his philosophy.
I want to obtain my core players, whenever possible, by drafting and developing them or if need be, and the deal makes sense, making a smart "hockey" trade.
Use free agency to shore up an already solid roster and only add at the deadline when you are looking to try and put a good team over the top, and you've built up enough picks and prospects that you can afford to move a few.
Keep up the good work, Hexy!

Or better yet, use them to pick the Bollands, Keiths, Bickells, Crawfords and Seabrooks of our future Cup dynasty.

Better to use the picks wisely and develop players while making the best of the 2-3 immovable contracts.

I can't believe you think this is a clever response. - SuperSchennBros
Not being clever at all. You asked for one trade that changed the roster. Well, that's exactly what he did. |

Bill, in your opinion is Lecavalier, and Umberger the only immovable contracts the Flyers have? |

Or
Acquire a lot of young assets and trade them for the players you need without gutting the system like it would have if traded for Shea Webs |

If Boychuk gets to UFA status come July 1, would you like the Flyers to make a run at him? |

I knew this would be unpopular
I guess I have the patience to wait it out, its been a long time though
I am not looking forward to seeing the same D next year, unbelievably frustrating to watch
Guess maybe one of LSchenn or Grossmann will be gone
But Schultz Amac MDZ Streit as the top 4?
Bottom of the Metro conference again and another top ten pick
