Makes me think that we could get Yandle for a 1st,connolly and gudas.

Not a big fan of Coburn. not happy about these moves.

I'm with you. Stevie hasnt made to many mistakes but these two moves are an absolute disater. I'm not here to troll, i'm actually rooting for Tbay this year and i dont see how these moves made them that much better now that they had to give up so much. I hope they win the cup and I eat my words otherwise this is a bad day for the Bolts organization.

Coburn is better than Gudas. Gudas isn't good.

Too many of you are blinded by his occasional big hit.

Really, hes been a freakin monster every time I've seen him. My opinion is based on a small sample but I've seen Coburn play many times and I dont see enough to warrant giving up this much

If anything we had to get bigger and tougher. As it is neither trade accomplished that. We didnt improve the team and we lost a first rounder and a tough defensemen to the an eastern rival Flyers. Cannot express my disappointment enough. This was panick city!

im much happier going into the playoffs with

hedman stralman
coburn garrison
carle sustr
barberio

drops carle into that 3rd pairing where he belongs. gudas was too slow for our system and he got out of position a lot trying to make a hit. took a lot of penalties and really was terrible in his own end. everyone liked him for his few big hits and the beard but he was never going to be more than a no.5 on our team. as for the 1st im a little surprised it took 2 picks on top of that to get coburn but i guess if you want a top 4 d man its going to take a 1st to do it. I highly doubt yzerman is done either. unless you bring um namestnikov to fill the empty spot or keep brown in full time...

killorn stamkos callahan
palat johnson kucherov
filppula paquette drouin
brown boyle morrow

im perfectly ok with that.

How is that package remotely close to what NYR gave up?

Yzerman is a magician because he still has a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd

Couldve still had 2 1sts,2 3rds,Gudas and Connelly. You can never have too many first

Gudas is an injured bum. Paquette has made Connolly expendable and is more of a big picture trade. Maybe another move is in the works and Vladdy gets called up.

I don't think he can be done with the defense. Coburn doesn't solve anything.

Mike, what can possibly be next? Petry? Who? We didnt fill the need to get bigger and tougher. Come playoff time we are one and done. OMG, these trades just gave me diarhea!!

I think we could see something like that.

Another possibility is that they flip Coburn.

I guess this is why Yzerman is the general manager and I'm not. I don't necessarily believe we got fleeced on these deals especially the Connolly deal for two second round picks. Still trying to understand the Cobourn deal as I don't like that we gave up a first in the deal. I myself would have just kept the roster the same as opposed to these deals however I have a feeling Yzerman isn't done yet especially with the draft picks we just aquired. That's just my opinion but these moves really caught me off guard. I can see Connolly going to Boston and doing well in a top 6 role for them.

Coburn solidifies the 2nd pair and has term left so I think it's a good deal.

I don't think he fills a need, especially once Carle gets back. If they can flip him and get a guy like Wisniewski, then we're in business.
