I mean look at top players in the NHL that have been matched up with Dion over the years. Top guys pad there stats against Toronto.

People laughed at the idea that Franson couldn't handle the role and when given a chance i'd say he easily performed better then Dion.

Kessel has played over 420 straight games. Why do we want him hitting and getting injured?

weird case.... Anaheim coach even said Beauch was god awful for a bit when he came back to Anaheim but eventually found his game again... Can't assume Dion will just bounce back going to a new team.. We have traded lots of D men that have remained not so great sense leaving the leafs...

Ideally Phaneuf would be on a second pairing eating up soft comp and getting offensive zone starts. I think he would really thrive on a team with a reliable shutdown tandem that can play against the top units and then he could eat up the second and third lines. Much like the way that Arizona has used Yandle.

Yeah, I guess with Voynov out he might be the #2 in LA...Beuchemin is looking good this year in Anaheim and Im not sure he bumps Lindholm either, even tho he is young.
