EDIT: Is it really misinformed that he relies on goalies to get through? I've watched a lot of the games he's coached and it seems he relies very heavily on his goalie to stand on his head to win any games...

Newsflash! The players are playing hard, and playing for pride. Fans are not booing them when they score, and if they truly were tanking hardcore, Neuvirth would not have started so many games in a row.

What you see are fans that are pragmatic, and realize that the reality is that if we are ever going to get an elite player, it will have to be through the draft. Hoping we lose COMPLETELY UNIMPORTANT games is common sense, and frankly, I'm sick of hearing how we are not real fans for wanting to be a Stanley Cup contender. I'd argue the opposite, that I'm a real fan for nauseating myself every 3rd day and rooting against my favorite team so that one day we may be able to finally reap the rewards!

BHH, I like your passion. But Theodore nolan is in so far over his head,it isn't funny. How would you like your construction workers go into the shanty,close the door and don't talk to anyone. The hardest working team in hockey,that shipped get over it.the hardest working team had only one thing, the greatest goalie in the world. WOW,SOMEONE WHO FINALLY GETS IT.nolan had hasek, in the Olympics they get outshot 2000 to 10, every player has regressed with him as coach. Name one player that has improved. Enroth and neuvrith make him lookgood. If Nolan was so good,isn't it funny they did go on a winning streak early in the year and before the trade deadline they are playing good again. I want a coach that's plugged in and passionate about the guys in the room. I get why teddy cares. I just don't get why impartial 3rd party fans still care about winning meaningless games. Being bad enough to get good is a tried and true system. Only been a handful of teams that are the exception to that rule.

We aren't rooting against the Sabres, we are rooting for the best way to improve them. If we were a bubble team I would be rooting for victories.

Why can't one buffalo sports team finally hire and intelligent coach who uses all the resources afforded him. The sabres have a big analytics department, nolan wants nothing to do with it. You could take it a step further. If I were a muddling bubble team with no hope of winning the cups for years to come (Philly, Ottawa, Jersey, etc) I would be rotting for the team to reboot and "tank" the next year. I personally hate the work "tank" because it is really misleading. While we didn't kill ourselves trying to get better we certainly haven't done anything that is really tanky. People make the Pysyk argument but Murray had something very specific that he wanted Pysyk to work on. Also, they didn't play on having Zadorov here. There isn't an a team in the league that doesn't have at least one player on the farm that isn't better than one player on the big club.
