Admittedly I haven't paid attention that much this year. But just realized that Boedker along with Hanzal are on team shut it down in Phoenix. Wonder who's next. Tanking done right out there

One was their top rated center prospect.

I don't know but they keep saying they won't part with a lot for a rental or anything else for that matter.

So any general thoughts on tomorrow? I have a feeling that there will be some absolutely bombs dropped. Things just feel crazy right now and there are still a lot of teams that haven't done anything.

My guess is we don't here anything from GMTM but rumors until about 2:15, and then the reports start tailing in ... most of the confirmations will come after 3:00 like the Stafford trade to washington a few years ago.

I think he's going to squeeze the fruit for all the juice it can bring.

Don Maloney on trade: "We're resetting this team. We're gaining assets that in 3, 4, 5 years will put us in position to win the Stanley Cup"

So they're resetting and no vitriol is being spewed their way.

But we're tanking and everyone is hating on us.

I fail to see the difference

Eric Cole has something Stewart doesn't.

Stanley cup experience.

- dadeadhead

Its not like Detroit is lacking in Stanley Cup experience
There are MANY teams that lack (or would like to add another) a physical player like Stewart that can score

The way things are going with Arizona I hope we go to extreme measures: put Ennis out there (if he isn't already).

I will say this, dominik Hasek is one of my best friends. I have a lot of ex sabres that are very good friends. I know a lot of stuff that has happened the last20 years. I have been involved with golfing with pat LAFONTAINE and dominik Hasek after they Eason, when pat tried to convince dominik to mend fences with nolan. I have EEN in the locker room when detroit won cup. I know a lot about current sabres, with first hand know.edge. With that being said, I have no vendetta against nolan,he is just. Bad coach

You do realize Cole has 116 hits compared to Stewart's 82?

Murray has said he doesn't see another "hockey trade" coming before the deadline
That could all change of course, but I think all we'll do is sell off our UFAs

-30 is a pretty big wart to overlook, bad team or not. No other forward on the team is worse than -21.

Cole won't make the mistakes Stewart is more likely too in the playoffs, thus why he demands more in return. He plays a 'heavy" game as they say and scores more. I'm not saying Detroit didn't over pay but Stewie isn't getting us that much.

You're making it sound like Cole is a game saver and the next savior for the Wings, this guy is a has been.

Yeah, I got into it with a bruins fan at the gym b/c he was saying how we should lose our pick since we're losing on purpose (this was a week ago), but didn't' seem to acknowledge the fact that the oilers only score 2.21 PPG and we are 1.75PPG, with a far less talented roster, bad goalie and D be damned. There's no reason not to be scoring more. Not to mention they've had their day in the sun pick wise.

The yotes should get a nasty write up just like the sabres did back in january (I think bleacherreport had it) talking about how were playing was terrible for the sport and but no one seems to notice the yotes are losing games seemingly always in a last minute

Right, but I take "hockey trade" to mean a return of a roster player. Could still move some of the non-UFA's for AHL prospects.

That stat is extremely subjective
Just by watching the games u can tell Stewart is a more physically intimidating player
Not that Cole doesn't use his big frame, but he's not scaring anyone either

Stewart, Neuiverth, Mitchel and maybe one other UFA

It was nice to see Jagr score, I hope FLA makes the playoffs over Boston.

NYR are (frank)ing loading up man. Probably the favorite in the East after today. I don't see Montreal or NYI getting past the 2nd round and I don't see anyone else in the East as a real threat.

Nashville NYR cup finals, my prediction.
