I'm happy with either, but I'm not happy with a "behind closed door" lottery drawing which only generates pure speculation, in which we will get screwed unfairly.

I'm pretty mad about that win streak we had. We're not tanking hard enough.

I Agree about the odds, but I put up late last night in response to lottery drafts as opposed to set drafts:

You control the lottery draft, automatic ordering you do not. Does anyone actual think that the CAVs, who had a 1.7% chance to win the draft, after Lebron said he'd go back if they had more talent around him and magically won? Not to mention that they were the #9 team and no team higher than 4 had ever won. I'll never believe that was not a rig job, as the NBA has already tripled their profit on merchandise and apparel (or close to it if I read that projection correctly). and the tv deals are going to be through the roof come playoff time with the "prodigal son returnth"

Money makes the world go round and if we finish last and we dont' get Mcdavid I'll never believe we lost fair and square (unless the oilers get him as the NHL wouldn't rig it for them ) b/c you don't get to see the balls being picked. I want to see someone spinning a big drum like the state lottery and pull the ball out and show the world who it is. With the lottery there's too much controversy as it's done behind closed doors. (Unless I've always missed this part of the system, in which I retract this statement, but I've only ever seen cards flipped over) if the NHL thinks McDavid going to the Yotes is a better business move and could produce millions upon millions, they will make it happen

Show me the balls being picked and I'll openly believe the pick, but I don't trust Bettman one iota

Such a neaderthalic, misinformed and totally uneducated spewing of 100% nonsense.

I hope it's true what I am hearing that Teddy blew up at Murray when Pysyk was sent back down.
And I hope at seasons end Teddy leaves on his own terms.

Teddy and I feel the same about "tanking"
There is little to no pride left inside that organization and that is troubling.
All I hear from idiots is "the ends justify the means".
Eff your ends and your means, show some pride for Christs sake.
Play the (frank)ing game to win the way its meant to be played.
Not by making a mockery of the system, the game and people that care about values such as Teddy and I and I am sure, many others.
So sick of this talk.
God forbid I ever see Murray out in public.
God help him, he may lose teeth.

Nah, just business minded. More money to be had in a market that can triple over then next few years as opposed to a market that is already set and really won't grow regardless of how good they become (Buf, EDM, even TOR for that matter)

Way to go Glenn Sather, the Rangers will not have 1st round draft picks for 4 consecutive years.

This has been covered over and over and over

1) An Company that does this kind of audits oversees this. It would ruin their company if it was rigged

2) Whether or not you see the ping pong balls or not is irrelevant. The easiest person to fool is the one that thinks they saw something.

Here's a proposal for all of you to consider that I think Reiger and Maloney should get on the phone and make to Buffalo:

Reinhardt plus Hodgson for Phoenix's top 1st pick in 2015, 2nd round pick in 2015 and Sam Gagner

1. Maybe, but a rig once every ten years is more of a business move. Every year sure, but once an a while you can easily justify the means as long as it raised the ratings by leaps and bounds

2. And I'd be happy with that, as long as I see I'll gladly accept being fooled

So you admit that it isn't any more legit if you see the balls but you still rail against the hidden lottery anyway?

Everyone in Buffalo wanted to trade tyler myers. They don't understand hockey. 2 goals 4 assists in 7 1/2 games. He has played for three awful coaches, ruff, rolston and nolan. His rookie year when he won the Calder,he was a top ten defenseman. Name one guy that has ever flourished under ruff or nolan. You mark my words, that trade will haunt us. Tyler myers on a very good team ,is a top 5 to10 defenseman. He has all the tools

What I meant to say that I want to see the the entire process played out. So the spin the drum pull a ball and say "#1 goes to (team). Then they spin the drum and pull the next ball, if it's the same team, they throw it out and pick again until another team is drawn. Repeat this process until it's over.

If in that process someone, managed to rig it they would have had to really earn that one

Whyyyyywould you trade a 24 yr old defenseman who has never played with offensively gifted players. Who has played for boring non offensive coaches. The reason was after this year myers no trade contract kicks in,SO WHAT. If kane continues to be a punk, this will go down as maybe the top three worse trades in hockey history.
