had a bad feeling about that one. they haven't won in SJ since 1999. and the first game on the WC is always tough after such a quick turnaround. a performance like that last night doesn't really concern me.

Wasn't expecting much either. And I don't expect them to win all of their remaining games either.

Montreal GM Marc Bergevin made no secret of his desire to add some depth to a defense that had several question marks (injuries, the decline of Andrei Markov and the age of Sergei Gonchar among them) and he finally got his man.

Therrien's comments on DSP were ouch, I predict the kid won't see a minute of playoff hockey and Bergevin may have known that when he dealt for Flynn and Mitchell.

IMO that's good news because the kid may have more potential than we thought, he's far too heavy for a player his height.

- J-P

Thats too bad. I thought he was better than Prust, Malhotra, and DLR. Other than the goof in the 3rd he was the only one getting guys like Burns to look behind.

I'd say he's the best player not named Carey Price.

And it's been the case for years.

You would have enjoyed the face on Therrien. I thought he might have a stroke several times...especially after SJ scored on the 5-3 in the 1st.

Devante Smith-Jelly is barely noticeable out there. I want Sekac back.

Last time the Habs won in San Jose was back in 1999, so, no surprises there.

Habs couldn't beat Matlock yesterday. You want to beat Montreal? Simply put the goalie with the save average in the .800 in net. Simple as that.

Eller actually had a decent enough game other than that trip. Pleks had this look of disgust on his face sitting beside Eller. That was funny.

I hoping the Habs management did their homework on Pelley, he hasn't been good.

But he did lay out Dillon behind the net
