Good win last night..

Voracek, Couturier and Read played great.
My hope is that at some point Couturier and Read can continually convert all the chances they get That would be such a huge gain for this team.

The Grossmann injury was weird. With the replays they showed it was never 100% clear that the puck hit his head area but something did because he looked like he was out cold face down on the ice.

Mason. I can't remember the last time I felt this good about a Flyers goalie ..assuming he stays healthy.

I have such mixed feelings. I wanted to see him go out as a Flyer but at the same time I want to see him get a cup. and of course him winning a cup means two 2nd yound picks for a guy who is retiring after the next 20 games.

Yup. It's hard to be happy that Timonen is gone, but Hextall got good value for a player in his circumstances

I agree with Tomahawk on the term, 3 years is about as far as I want to go. The cost them becomes the question. If MDZ is pushing for a Mason sized deal, I'd like to see them work out a 1 year deal at $2.5mm-$3mm and then continue talks through the season.
- Jsaquella

1 year, $3.5

2 years, $7.5

3 years, $13.5

That is how I would do it...13.5 because you buy a year of UFA

My preferred option is two years

Luke has shown he plays better at times with more minutes

but he also has consistently made bad costly turnovers

I think that he is what he is at this point

- Marc D

Luke has brought a lot of it on himself by making careless decisions, but I think Berube has been very tough on him. I think he's been tougher on Luke than many of the others since he took over.

Luke is strange because he'll play a solid game, but have 2 or 3 horrible turnovers in terrible spots.

Also, as a side, the Flyers defenseman end up on the same side of the ice way too often. They seem to put themselves in difficult spots. Even if Schenn connects on that pass to Grossmann last night, I don't think Grossmann had anywhere to go with the puck except for a dump out or icing.

3 yrs 11M or something close would be nice

like to see them keep it under 4 per season

might be impossible to get a multi yr deal for that though

its nice that they have him as RFA right now

Two years is good, too. I just want to keep term down a bit to make sure this isn't a flash in the pan for him.

I am less hard on Berube then most here, but that pairing does not make sense

also playing rinaldo over vlc is pretty bad

I mean ideally neither would be on the team but vlc is the better of two bad choices

I was re-reading the comments by Hexy on the Kimmo trade ... and I can't help but be impressed on how intelligent he comes across.

For once, I am confident that our GM will make the right decisions on the future of the team, and will get good, solid value for the players he trades.

I'll never understand his obsession with Rinaldo, but it's pointless discussing it at this point.

I would never use the pairing of Schenn-Grossmann against any team, but specifically against the Rangers. If there was ever a team to not use that pairing against, it's the Rangers.

I find it funny that Berube will bench Amac not because he's playing poorly, but because "they need more size". Then against a team like the Rangers, where you need puck moving, he'll put Grossmann and Schenn together. It makes me think theres no rhyme or reason for anything he does.

lol

I sure remember a lot of upset people around here when he was traded. A few were saying that he was a top 6 forward.
