Flyers need to re-sign Del Zotto ASAP.
He was out there flying last night. Sure, he has his faults and sometimes his pinch in the offensive zone will lead to an odd man rush the other way--but here's my thinking, the Flyers cough up the puck a lot anyway, really what's the difference? |

Carnival should take place after the deadline. Wasted negotiating day. - hereticpride
You don't think hexy has his phone on? I think he might not announce a trade today but he could be working on one. High prices being paid for dmen. I'd like to see Coburn shipped for a low 1st and a prospect. That would be fantastic. |

There is no rush to re-sign him. He will get his qualifying offer and then the two sides can decide whether there is a multi-yeqr deal to be made or if he signs another one year with the leverage of UFA status in 2016. Either which way, there is no need to rush into something.

Think he gets extended as soon as the trade deadline is done with because they will have a better idea if they will still need to shed salary. If they don't move anyone it might drag out a bit. |

No, first they watched Luke Schenn for a few shifts, laughed, and then left. - BiggE

He wasn't terrible, but he was, by far IMO, the weakest of our dmen. I really can't see a contender wanting to add him, nor do I think they could, unless his play really picks up, get much more than a 3rd for him at the draft.

He weren't good. Bad turnover or two, didn't really look good overall. |

We rented "Lucy" on demand and just checked the game results when the movie was done. Figures they show up for this one.
But Carolina beat the Isles too, funny how when teams are loose they play much better. Another winter of discontent.
Mason looked great, but I dont know how any of the pylons on the blue line get moved
Is Bergoober back next year? |

well I guess he is what he is.... And we can't expect to get much for him. I would gladly take a 3rd just to shed that salary for next year. It could be spent on something of use |

He is almost guaranteed a turnover or two every game. Well, it seems that way
Homer sure got taken to the cleaners on that deal. |

Mason looked good but left some juicy rebounds - vejim
He was lacking practice, timing, due to being thrown back in early.

Good to see Dr Jekyll show up for the win last night. I assume he got Mr Hyde drunk and left him in the locker room.
Nothing like a team you can depend on being inconsistent as (frank). |

The reason I would want to lock him up.
He is a man possessed, & I think the healthy scratches have matured, & improved his focus.
You can even see it in his interviews, he seems intense, yet focused.
Coburn, MDZ, Streit, & Schultz, has become a really nice top 4, that will allow one, or two of our younger defensemen to ease into the lineup. |

The team as a whole makes quite a few turnovers nearly every game, not just L Schenn. But it seems when Luke does it as opposed to Jake or Simmonds, it's because he should be asking the fans "Do you want a drink with that?" |

I just realized Raffl has more goals than B Schenn and Raffl has played 15 less games. Both of these guys seem to get their chances but just don't have that finishing touch

the entire team was making unforced turnovers last night
it was so bad it was contagious and the Rangers even caught the disease and started coughing up the puck |

My take on the Coburn bashing is that it is not entirely his fault. He is a solid 3-6 defensemen being forced into a #1 role. If the Flyers had a true #1 and #2 defensemen, Coburn would not be the whipping boy of this team. Imagine how good he would be on a team where he didn't have to face the oppositions top line all the time. |

Not sure how you got from A to B there, but Raffl gets nearly zero PP time. For the money, his production is golden. |

That's what I was trying to say.. Raffl could easily be a 20 plus goal guy. He does not get the PP time of Schenn. If he could just finish a little better his numbers would be great.
I think it's time to package the Schenn's up as a part of a deal for Dhelp |
