I hate to be Debbie Downer, and maybe it's just because I have experienced all of the crap I have being a Bills/Sabres fan for so long, but I just can't help but feel like it's over. I just don't see how Arizona and Edmonton are going to win enough games with the remaining schedules they have. I really think this last 10 days has screwed our entire season!

Another problem with the conferences being misaligned. In the west, all but Edm and Ari still have a chance at making the playoffs so they have more to play for. The east has about 8 teams out, so there are more teams that benefit by losing.

Pysyk > Zadorov

The Rochester guys need to go back down. They have way too much spirit and motivation. Pysyk looks really good.

Neuvirth needs to get unlucky, Gionta needs to stop being effective in the transition game and Torrey Mitchell just needs to stop it!

Would love to know the team who has a deal with GMTM and is waiting for the trigger to be pulled....I caught his Edmonton slip on the radio too, but so knows....

I love this time of year!

Pysyk needs to be sent down immediately and Lindback needs to play every other night minimally.

The Arizona Coyotes have now lost eight straight games.

At this point, Arizona is just one point ahead of the Edmonton Oilers and 29th place in the NHL. Dropping to 29th overall would be big because it would significantly increase the Coyotes chances of getting Connor McDavid in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft and put them in the running for Jack Eichel (assuming Eichel is locked in as the second overall pick). Getting either one of them would provide the Coyotes with a potential franchise player they can build around and create some much needed buzz for the team.

We will lose out, it's just a matter of time.

Ya a lot of "good players". For every malkin there is a j. Stahl, JVR and bobby Ryan. All good players but they are all complements. So if we miss out on mcheichel this year and draft say 3 or 4 and grab marner or strome, him and Reinhart will be our top 2 guys. so compare them to stahl JVR or Ryan how much better is our team. Hell for comparison sake let's say instead of Reinhart or strome we have j. Stahl and bobby Ryan (two recent #2 overalls) on our team RIGHT now. What would our record be???

Kane/J.Stahl/Ryan
Mouson/ennis/grigorenko
Foligno/girgensons/Gionta

we better hope Reinhart and who we draft at 3-4 if we miss mceichel turns out better than those previous #2s. That team is not winning playoff games

- Fattony1187

We're still in the catbird seat for McEihel and have lost basically 75% of our already paltry offense - so I'm not too worried there.

And Reinhart + Kane + Strome / Fasching wouldn't cause me to lose sleep, either. Especially for a team whose strength, even with McEichel, will be in the back end.

I have a feeling we're gonna see a Sabres trade before Monday. Edmonton, Calgary, Chicago, Colorado and Boston seem like potential trade partners. Should be fun.

If we finished 29th what is our odds of getting a McEichel? I thought I heard it was 33% but I'm not sure. I would think that it is a combination of us either winning the #1 pick or the 30th team winning the #1 pick and we pick 2nd.

Would like to see Edmonton and Arizona trade 1sts and then watch them try to win games to make their new pick lower.

33.5% I believe.
30th place is 20% and 29th is 13.5%. Anyone else wins and 2 and is picking 3rd.

All but Colorado would be us just trading pieces for picks and prospects...

This whole ROR thing for a top D prospect from us worries me.. I don't want to deal Risto/Zads/Pysyk/McCabe.

What's tiring is watching this team win
