If KANE was healthy, I'd say, hey, The Hawks are ready for another CuP lets move a 2nd Rounder from the Deepest Draft in memory, but with Kane out, this is Too much.

This is not the deepest draft! From everything that i have heard its got two generational stars and then it goes to the next level and takes a dip around the mid 20's.

After that deal the Hawks made for a player that hasn't played yet this year, we should get a 2nd for Mez.

A 2016 first rounder for Stewart I think is possible. 2015 no chance we get a first rounder for him.

That was the goal since the last game of last season. There are lots of ways to make sure you finish last if that's what you really want to do.

So, while I have supported Murray and like a lot of what he has done, if this team does not finish 30th this season, IT'S A FAILURE.

There is no excuse for this team not finishing last. It would have been easy to do......a lot easier than what they are making it. I know if I, or many other HUGE PRO-TANK fans were running the team, last would already be locked up.

So, are we in good hands? If we finish 30th.....definitely. If we don't, well.....

Who knows. Murray seems to have an idea of what he wants this teams to look like in 2-3 years. That obviously includes McDavid or Eichel. If we miss out it will be interesting to see what he does.

If you prefer the term "Stronger Draft" rather than "Deepest" Draft I will concede that from what I've been reading that this Draft Class is the Deepest in years, not based on 3-7 rounders but due to the above average skill that is available within the 20, Then there are guys in the early 2nd that would be 1st rounders in most years so it goes a bit deeper than you're given it credit for.
