And here lies the problem I have with anyone blaming Nolan for this.

The biggest problem I had is when Murray was asked a few weeks ago what he thought about the job his coach was doing and he pretty much threw his coach under the bus to absorb all the blame for this while side stepping any of it.
Those type of people grate me.

4 of your starting 6 defensemen were brought in here by Murray as free agents.
Benoit
Meszaros
Strachan
Gorges.
And a few weeks ago he traded for a guy that is not even going to be on the roster this year.
Nolan has not gotten any help along the way.
I won't argue about this.
I don't want to argue about this, it's not why I am posting these thoughts.
I am simply pointing a few things out.
I just think it would be quite unfair to Nolan if he were let go after this season he has had to endure.
Sending Pysyk back down is such a Murray thing to do.
And people wonder why I dislike the person.

and do you also want them to win 15 more games and get the 3rd or 4th pick?

When Mez and/or Benoit are gone on or before Monday Pysyk will be back up so Harrington doesn't need to get his panties in a bunch.

Yes, THAT is the tankiest move of the year...sending back a guy you called up due to injury/suspension. Let's ignore the fact that Weber is healthy and Zadorov is out of the doghouse enough to get his spot back - the spot he's been playing all season long.

Idiot...

- stashu

Agreed. Also, Murray made it very clear what he wanted Pysyk to be working on (joining the rush)

That's WILDLY inaccurate. He's quoted as blaming himself for not having success.

Gorges not a FA.

Those free agent defensemen were signed on ONE YEAR contracts because our farm system was not ready yet. The plan was for Zadorov to play in juniors and Pysyk to play here. Well, too bad that screwed up. Pysyk is stuck in A and Zadorov is here. Other than that, the 3 FAs are here as planned doing their job. I really hate the Nolan glasses, or maybe Anti-Murray glasses you wear all the damn time.

I am by no means saying Murray doesn't deserve any criticism. Fine, blame him for being here for exactly one year and inheriting a rebuilding team and not having us challenging for the cup this year. Fine, blame him for not going after better free agents. Fine, blame him for not trading for more and better parts. But it seems like everything the guy does is some kind of "Murray bullpoop" or anything he says or does "grates you". If you're going to criticize him, at least try not to paraphrase and pull the words out only you want to hear. At no point EVER did he place the blame solely on Nolan.

Tank on for sure...how many trades are we realistically thinking by deadline? Also, who was the mystery player that TMGM received a call about that he didn't think he'd get?

I absolutely love Mike Harrington....

He is now saying people don't understand what he has been writing since October.

Here's a hint Mike...we understand what you are writing and can comprehend it very well which is why just about EVERYONE and their mother disagrees with it.

His ego is so big I can sense it from Orlando

And #Sabres make it official: In the tankiest move of the season, Mark Pysyk sent back to Rochester. Flat-out shameful.

People have different value systems I think is the best way to put it.

Me? I would love for the Sabres to finish last and get either McDavid or Eichel.

But I certainly do not want them doing it deliberately.
You can call me crazy, or any type of names you wish I guess I would understand it.
But, I simply wasn't raised that way so I can not approve of that type of behavior.

It's like the total opposite values of the way I have raised my 6 children just to make a point.
I have told them to go out and be sure to earn everything this way no one can ever come in to your life at a later date and say to you, "that is not yours, you did not earn it"just so they can take it away from you or worse, also devalue you as a person on top of that.

And I know some here will say that the Sabres have earned it by tanking so hard, and that may be funny but hardly true.
I know its a sport, and that is why I find it even more offensive to me, that this is being done or talked about over a sport.
I am in no way saying I am better because of the way I feel, but it is the way I feel and has always been one of my life lessons which is, "earn it".

It's going to be a very gloomy Monday if Neuvirth is still a Sabre at the end of that day. I'll be biting my nails that day until he's gone.

It seems pretty clear cut what the market is for a goalie like him is, a 3rd rounder so I hope someone wants him. If it's a 3rd rounder today it will be one Monday do it now, TM.

If their coach was anyone other than your boy Ted Nolan whom you met and it was Lindy Ruff would you have that same value system? I wonder.

I have a value system where I give people a chance to do their job before I judge them and attack. I always have stuck by this and I also have a value system where I don't believe in telling people on a hockey message board how great I think I am because that falls under one of the 7 Deadly Sins, Pride.

I can definitely see the humor in that for sure indi.

Those walks of life are in any type of jobs.

I can only tell you, trust me when I tell you guys or girls that don't come to work on my sites honestly get booted right back to their respective union hall no matter who they may think they know.
I don't tolerate it.
I tell all my guys, you are getting paid damned good money, work like you are or I will find someone else that will.

Some will say how hard Murray is working at icing the worse possible team he can is how you earn it.
Right?
