Brassard had been an underachiever his entire career until coming to NY. I know you won't believe it, but ever since he came to NY he's developed, even at his older "veteran" age, more than he ever had in his multiple years in Columbus. Something clicked for the guy and he's a very good top 6 center for us now.

Doubt it as much as it helps the leafs it helps the jackets as much. They can't afford to pay a guy 5.3 to sit in the stands but the leafs can. both teams win.

JT Miller is a good prospect. 15th overall pick and had 43 points in 42 games in the AHL last season.

He's basically a mix between Mike Richards (in his prime) and Brandon Dubinsky. Probably not as much offensive upside, but he should be good for 20 goals, 50 points, and be a heart and soul player once he reaches his peak.

Taking pure value aside, I don't think this trade is realistic because the Rangers aren't going to blow up their team right now. Quite frankly, we're arguably the best or 2nd best team in the entire NHL over the last 2 months. Any move we make will be relatively minor and no core players are leaving.
