I really don't think cap space is going to be scarce for the foreseeable future. Cap space is worth a lot when you don't have it. The Leafs should have plenty.

Clarksons salary is on for another 5 years. And for the next couple years this allows us to take on bad contracts or retain salary for guys like Phaneuf to get better returns. This is the best leafs trade in a long time. Be happy about it.
