Bloatsy, it's a good day in Leafland Bloatsy.

It is. Getting rid of Clarkson's salary was a great move. TO has buckets of money so Horton's cost does not matter. Has no affect on the cap. Again, great move.

Article on Horton's injury:

Horton, who signed a seven-year, $37.1 million free-agent contract with the Blue Jackets in the summer of 2013, has been diagnosed with “degeneration” of the entire lumbar region of his spine, or the lower back, sources told The Dispatch.

http://bluejacketsxtra.di...-blue-jackets-horton.html

So, he can't run, barely walks, can't sleep, and it's degenerating.....his NHL career is over.

Nothing short of stem cell therapy, PRP treatment and anabolic steroids will get him back on the ice.

good points, whole thing boils down to $, similar to when the Leafs acquired Franson, Leafs can pay players not to play for them and coaches and buy outs, and take on non insured contracts (Lombardi) to be honest they should of been doing more of this
- PinkSock

Montreal is clearly the best Canadian team, but I never thought I'd see the day when Toronto would have trouble signing free agents (good ones). Calgary is better than Toronto and I never thought I'd say that either.

Which one of his points was good? THat we play the same style as Columbus? Because we don't.
- mykokes

Me -

all but that

how bout the rest or most of what he said not just a snippet

Hopefully a change of scenery to a place where the fans and media don't have unrealistic expectations will be good for him. Columbus certainly could use a boost. Their forwards are awful, led by $6 plus million a season for Dubinsky.

Well, he can't exactly come out and say "Well, Dave has really poop the bed here since day 1, so we moved him for capspace..."

Even though that's obvious...

Why not? That's what Shanny's going to say when nonis is fired.

I think they've got some good forwards, they just dug themselves into too big of a hole to start the season. Ryan Johansen and Foligno have been playing great this year. And Dubinsky's overpaid, but he's still a 50 point type guy.
