I think the "Cousin Dave" well dried up either
1) when Nonis became GM after Burke left
2) when Shanaban arrived

cause Dreger hasn't been anywhere near as confident with stuff as he used to be... he used to sit there all cocky waiting to spew history...

5-14-3 or higher and the Leafs are more likely to finish above 26th or higher than they are to finish 27th or lower.

Canes have to go 7-14-2 in order to reach that point.

If ownership truly only cares about money, they will actually push for more trades faster knowing this fanbase loves hockey so much that roster change equals potential change that will appeal to and entice fan viewership.

Stagnation beyond this summer will likely turn off fans more as they expect just more of the same (not that that is bad in the long run, but still trades would have to happen for it to mean something).

I still don't think we see anything else by the deadline.

Bet one made at begginning of season for 50 bucks. Leafs win 30 games out of 82...(no brainer right?)

I was so confident after first 30 games played that I bet they would make the playoffs for another 50 bucks.
