What do you think the core did last night? They scored all of the goals, Phil, Tyler, Dion. They're doing what I was afraid that they'd do....go on a glory run, because they're already out and they'll be golfing, after game 82. We're still stuck with the same team that finished the season last year, outside of Franson and now Clarkson. The core group, the top 6, are intact and healthy. They will cost us our top 5 draft position, if they leave them intact. Shanahan needs to curb this, by moving a couple of the top 6 and one of their top 4 defensemen, to make sure we don't ascend in the standings. - PrinceLH
dont worry, they will be gutted. |

On the bright side, Phil, Dion, and Tyler increased their trade value last night.

Just looked at Arizonas March schedule. They could easily lose all games with the exception of maybe 3-4. |

im with ya, i agree.
id keep him
and whatever robin says, sorry bud, edmonton is still much worse on all accounts.
oh, and for the 10th time, taylor hall is injury prone
damn its good to be right sometimes - Lucas Neilson
I think they still move Holzer. Maybe nab a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Seems rentals are pretty expensive this year. Could get 2 picks. |

When the Leafs were being outshot 32-8, and Bernier kept them in the game... Does that not suggest him stealing it for them? |

I'm telling you, Holzer has played really well, he is starting to become a very reliable defender. - LeafMan
Holzer is much better than people give him credit for. I'd take him right away. |

I don't know about a 2nd, doubtful but he is playing tough, blocking shots a few feet from him but most of all, he has improved his skating. He belongs now. |

Agreed. He's a good bottom pairing d man who can help kill penalties. I don't think he's a depth defender anymore. |

hes cheap, getting up in age (27) - either keep him for nothing as he has good work ethic, or trade him if the return is good.
ive liked his game |

I think he gets dumped on too much in here, he has been very good since being called up. |

Which means what? They'll be moved in the off season, but they'll damage the draft position. How many assets would it take, to move from the 7th or 8th pick, to 4 - 5 pick? Probably a first rounder..... So what's it going to be? Ruin the draft position this year, to trade them in the offseason, or do it now and keep us at 5? To me, it's adding one more year to the rebuild, if we let this draft get away from us.

Sorry for the vague answer but depends how desperate a team needs depth at the "11th" hour. |

I was hoping the Canes could grab him for cheap in the off season, but I'd trade a fourth for him if it means keeping Liles out of the lineup and giving Fleury more time to develop. |
