ok noner

phaneuf + nashville first for edmonton first

- Lucas Neilson

Kinda makes trade deadline day a little more appealing to watch this year because now with the UFA's and the unmovable Clarkson gone, it's a "who's next" type of thing.

I don't want Dion to ever play for the Oilers.

For owning up to his colossal error and SOMEHOW moving that monster contract, Nonis does deserve a bit of credit.

The money isn't ours

EDIT: (frank)er should still be fired for ever getting us in the mess to begin with though

- TheThrill

I could have been the GM and orchastrated this deal. I originally gave Nonis credit then I heard the Jackets did the calling and asking. Nonis just got approval by Shanahan and the board. (Credit to those guys for seeing the brilliance of it)

yeah there may be a complete fire sale, which would be quite entertaining.

the TSN boys must be crying inside every time there is a trade..

it may make for a long day for them if nothing goes down!

You should setup a cot there for Monday. Bunker down for the day

Wouldn't even mind. It's the one in maple leaf gardens. Nicest grocery store I've ever seen. They've got a really good Cafe, and a grill that makes a great steak.

The league needs to pause and do this all on Monday. There won't be any deals at all by Monday at this rate.

I'm impressed by the amount of minor moves being done already. Usually that's what fills up deadline day.

Well, it helps a lot when you stay 4 nights for free and can buy food and make all your meals. The skiing wasn't cheap, but really not so expensive either.

Can't really blame them for having money to burn. Something the Blue Jackets doesn't have.
- Pecafan Fan

I guess that explains the move on the Jackets part....

At least now they have SOMETHING for their money.

Even if that something is David Clarkson.

I'm telling you, Holzer has played really well, he is starting to become a very reliable defender.

Problem with playing the kids........they could put the effort in to win.
- Fakepartofme

What do you think the core did last night? They scored all of the goals, Phil, Tyler, Dion. They're doing what I was afraid that they'd do....go on a glory run, because they're already out and they'll be golfing, after game 82. We're still stuck with the same team that finished the season last year, outside of Franson and now Clarkson. The core group, the top 6, are intact and healthy. They will cost us our top 5 draft position, if they leave them intact. Shanahan needs to curb this, by moving a couple of the top 6 and one of their top 4 defensemen, to make sure we don't ascend in the standings.

Dregger saying he doesn't predict Dion will be moved by Monday, but he said its certainly possible.
