That's weird because I think they interviewed Mez on the post-game yesterday and asked him about having Bogo as a partner.

Just look at the ice time. That'll tell you.

Disagree on both comments, and as most people know I was a big McNabb fan.

I love the Kane deal, the other one I'm ok with, wont say love it, but don't hate it either.

They're a wash imo
- zdp1189

I think it's too easy to say it's a wash just like it was too easy to rip on Sekera as a Dman with the Sabres. If you really study their games you see their values, but just my opinion.

they were also in on Myers
- Homer

I can't believe they have up that much for Sekera!
McKeown is gonna be a project BC he needs work defensively, but he pretty talented offensively. And a 1st?! Great job by the Canes here

Maybe we have different knives. I consider Myers-Bogosian to be a wash, different players but I don't think one is much better than the other.

Stafford was gone anyway so from there is basically a late 1st, Armia and Lemieux for Kane. Idk if I'd consider that "a lot". Its certainly not nothing, and when the trade was announced my first thought was wow that's a lot. Now after letting it sink in, I'm not sure it really is.

- Homer

By this logic, Lemieux was gone anyways as well (according to rumors) so it's a late 1st and Armia for Kane

Did someone ever mention that Sekera has sick trade value (or something to that effect?)

Ok, last time I promise!

Darcy's plan in his last year was the suffering comment - correct! But who put the organization in that position!

- Irish 14

U act like it was "just" Darcy though
Quinn screwed the pooch by not allowing the Drury contract to be finalized & not allowing Briere to be signed long term the year before
Losing them wasn't Darcy's fault
And that would've been tough to recover from for anyone

None of us are professional talent evaluators. Some like myers game some dont. Myers has more offensive skill and skates better, bogosian is more physical and better in his own end. Two different styles so its hard to say one is definitively better than the other.

Yup. Kids will be kids. We've seen this type of stuff out of Pat Kane. He's still a force on the ice.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Derek Roy was a lame night club wannabe. Jack Eichel seems more like a beer chugging good time kinda guy. Way cooler.

Agreed. I'll be disappointed if we don't, but I'll still be happy if it ends up being Eichel. I'd just love to get the one that's supposed to be "the best." Though sometimes I think Eichel may be a better fit for the type of team Murray is building. Seems to play a bit more physical game. I could be wrong though.
