Since joining the Flyers, Del Zotto has had his ups and downs, and like much of the Philadelphia blueline, was a healthy scratch at one point in the season. However, his play overall has been encouraging. He has produced points, moved the puck well up ice, played 21 minutes per game and has been the most productive Flyers defenseman at even strength. His production at even strength this season has actually been elite league-wide, he sits ninth in points per 60 (1.26) at 5-on-5 amongst the 191 defenseman who have played 400 or more minutes 5-on-5. That rate has been better than luminaries such as Erik Karlsson (1.23), Mark Giordano (1.24), Kris Letang (1.18), Drew Doughty (1.13), Alex Pietrangelo (1.13), Kevin Shattenkrik (1.03), Duncan Keith (0.94) and P.K.
