He is, but Weise and Pacioretty seem staples on the first line right now.
- nords21

Gallagher has replaced Weise up there for now.

43 points in 55 games in the AHL last year. Hasn't translated yet to the NHL. I wonder where they intend to play Smith-Pelly. He certainly fits the profile to be next to DD and Pacio.
- QuebecPride

Makes sense. DD is at his best when he plays with big wingers who creates space.

DSP scored 5 goals in the playoffs last year.

ANA hopes to replace regular-season-Bourque, and the Habs are replacing playoffs-Bourque.

Would be nice to give Plek a winger with size.... and skills.

The guy had offers from a dozen teams, he chose the habs.

He scores his first goal and then sits for what, the next 8 games or so?

Gets bounced around to 3 and 4 lines, up to the 2nd for a spell, back up to the press box.

Was treated like poop, in his mind, imo and wanted out.

Also, I don't blame him.

Let's see what the new kid can do.

This move only proves once again how bad Habs management is as well as playing in Montreal. They won the rights for Sekac when like 20 other teams were interested in him, then trade him for a Third liner..Something doesnt add up.

He needs some seasoning IMO. Talent is there, but could've used a season in the "A".

Quite possibly, but he wasn't going to sign with a team that would send him down.

Pretty sure of that.
