Hopefully the Habs pass... Vermette, if used to replace Eller, is about as productive in the same role, with a high trade price tag + $$ to resign.

His stats are currently deceptive as he is playing #1 center minutes... he would be behind Pleks and likely DD (given Therien's love affair for him) in MTL.

More and more, I'm ok with Bergevin doing nothing. This team is first in the East and he made his moves earlier. Vanek did nothing for Montreal in the playoffs and we knew he would not sign in here.

Unless he can make another trade for a guy who won't be a pure rental.
