I like Tinordi's toughness. But he looks as slow as Douglas Murray and he's not very smart with the puck.

He struggles with the puck under pressure, he looks nervous

Oh come on. no where near as slow as Murray, and more aggressive offensively. Its not even close.

Is it so beyond belief that the people that were fired for incompetent team building, misused and abused Clarkson?

Maybe TO just sucks the life out of everyone....maybe Kessel would be a 50 goal scorer somewhere else.

- Pie

I believe the first part for sure. Kessel with 50, it's possible, if he had a good center and a good atmosphere to play in. There is every indication that he just doesn't have the personality to deal with the constant and neverending BS and negativity in Toronto.

It's a favour for the Jackets. They can't afford to pay a guy 5mil to never play. As poop as Clarkson is, he technically is on the ice. They don't have the budget to do that.
- AdamFrench

He's not technically on the ice... He's very obviously on it. Sprawled out after being knocked over by a slight breeze.

Fact is at his age he won't get faster with time. And the way he handles the puck doesn't cover for his poor skating and decision making.

As a 3-4 guy, he would be much more effective. All depends if he accepts a lesser role on another team. He doesn't strike me as the team first guy but I could be wrong.
- Cyberhabs

I think he could be #2 on a lot of teams. I think being a #1 in Toronto was a no go all along and he probably isn't #1 anywhere. He does log a ton of minutes against top guys. As long as he doesn't have to be "the" guy.

I don't think his skating is poor for his size and age. I think your judgement is.

I think so too but would his ego allow him to accept a lesser role. It would be the smart thing for him to do if he were to be moved.

You know what's not poor? MLSE spending the money to get 5.25 milly of cap space for 5.3 milly of money.

So at 23 he has reached is limits, no room for improvement.
