Yes. The story doesn't seem to be very credible (coming out of Edmonton with no evident ties to either team) and seems more like speculation.

I am in no way insinuating that McCarron is untouchable though but I have a hard time believing that Bergevin would trade a prospect like this for an expiring contract. It really doesn't fit with his stated philosophy. I see Bergevin packaging prospects and picks in a deal that has longer term implications for the team than the speculative rental deals being rumoured.
