If they can get a few picks or prospects for these bums, I'm in. Maybe they could get back Jimmy Hayes.

Toews hasn't played to his standards nor have Keith, Hossa, Seabrook, Hjalmersson, Oduya and Crawford. Press box or minors for the lot of them?
- paulr

You know, you're right I have not thought this thru and have commented with my emotions instead of my head.

............

Yep, Press box for everyone! Bring up all of the Ice Hogs!

Obviously there are chemistry problems up and down the lineup. You could see once TVR went down they had issues with the blueline. The forward lines haven't been as stable or reliable as they have been in previous seasons. There are a number of issues with this team that anyone can see on a game to game basis, no doubt. But we still have the core of winners that gave us two cups.

I can't remember the last time I felt the way I did yesterday watching Chicago go down 5-1 and then 6-1 to the Bruins at the end of that second period. We have been extremely lucky as fans to have our team have won the two cups in four years and it was an incredible run especially to think we were a game 7 contender in the conference finals again last year, they could have had a third shot at the cup in five years. With the way the team has been playing since the start of the year it is starting to look like that window of opportunity may be closing for this team.

We can sit around and speculate all day about who is or who isn't a problem inside the Blackhawks dressing room. The point is these are the same core players that got it done in 2010 and in 2013. We have been spoiled. I feel nothing but sad to read all the comments and finger pointing to the problem being Patrick Sharp. This is a guy who made a name for himself playing for our team. Seems to me like there are lots of people here who would be content with the front office taking an axe to certain parts of the team and moving on as quickly as possible. All teams go through slumps and maybe there are chemistry problems or some bad blood brewing in the locker room. We will probably never know the real answer. Until something official comes out we will never know what the hell is going on. Just take a moment and remember what these players did and what they gave us to appreciate as fans because we would be lucky to ever get that back again. Two cups in four years was an incredible thing and the boys took the team on another incredible run in the playoffs last postseason. I will be sad to see any part of the core or the top 6 get traded or move on, even if it does seem necessary at this point. They have all had their own special place amongst the magical cup runs we have been blessed with during the Toews/Kane era.

Sometimes it seems painfully obvious we are the spoiled/entitled brat segment of the league/team fan bases.

Hilarious. People care what social media says. THe people who reacted to that trade dont look at the big picture. WE NEED CAP RELIEF!!! We get back a center and someone who weighs more than 40 pounds. I find some people hilarious. Every person on twitter making comments is probably 40 years old and sitting in their moms basement. Im not to worried about it.

Oh come on! It's not like he offered up trading a 2nd RD pick for David Runblad. I mean that's a terrible proposal ....

No what is worse is all the social media clowns pining for Teuvo's return.

FACT: Teuvo and TVR will not save this team. No matter how many times people scream Gorilla salad, or hate on Shaw.

You do realize the Hawks 2nd rd. pick was closer to a third round pick, right? #58 overall.

I proposed it for cap relief and depth in the bottom six and that is it. I actually forgot to put Sutter plus but whatever.

The point is the deal should not be Sutter for Sharp straight up - much less adding TT. 1st line winger for 3rd line center. Both under performing - still makes the 1st liner more valuable. I'd take Sutter on this team if it moved Shaw to wing.... but the deal should be Sutter PLUS a pick/prospect for Sharp.

Christian Dvorak... Had an amazing 6 goals and 8 assists in 33 games in the OHL.

Way to go, Stan.

Yep. I fell asleep last night and awoke in Toronto apparently. Long playoff run and keeping the future will be important going foward. Completely understand the frustration here though, good place to vent, if we collectively are as upset as what I have read here the past couple weeks imagine the locker room. The Blackhawks from the top down are a motivated group. They are struggling and fighting it a bit. If there wasn't tension in the locker room I'd worry. A 3 game win streak will help.

It's OK to admit that Rundblad is one god awful player. Regardless of how high or low that 2nd round pick was. Whatever scout recommended that trade hopefully is not employed today.

Thanks.

Rundblad hasn't panned out but I still Stan's reasoning in trading for him.

The guy has no business playing. I was stunned to see him in the lineup.

He has an above average shot....that is all. The non stop oogling over him by the radio team as I drove home yesterday was puzzling. For on apparent reason. I thought Saad competed. that was about it. I didn't see anything special from Rundblad other then his typical Simple Jack breakdowns in his own end.

Ok...I was just puzzled why you were so quick to defend that trade. It's still a 2nd round pick they gave up for a guy who can't crack a NHL lineup on a horrible Phoenix team and a Hawks team that has some defensive depth issues.
