You didn't miss much. The music was terrible. The clothes were hideous. The hair..My god the hair.

Good movie though.

Are they drinking.... Tab?!?!?!!? Wow. Growing up, my best friend's mom drank that stuff. Was the only soft drinks they had in the house. Imagine, if you will, running around the yard, playing basketball in the driveway, etc. and going inside for a cool refreshing Tab. And they never refrigerated it... it was ALWAYS warm.

Well, I deserve to be mock'd some of the time....it's just the comments tinged with hate and bitterness that are a bit over-the-top.

It's just hockey...

My only reference to tech in the 80s is from movies.

I know you are. I know Sam and Matt at CI pretty good. They speak positive of CTA. I just thought it was a cheap shot. That's all.

CTA are a bunch of tools. Want to see some Teuvo Time koolaid drinking fools, go check out them and their followers.

I remember watching Empire Strikes Back on a Betamax. Wait, who said that?!?!? I mean, I remember hearing stories of something called Betamax. Ah well, whatever. I'm old.

That's how I drank it about 35 years ago when I was in an office 1/2 the time. Straight up. No ice, nothing. About 4 or 5 cans a day for like 5 years. Can't believe I'm still alive.

I had a betamax as a kid. The only beta on the block. Then the old man had a laser disc player for a while. No schit. Laser disc.

Awful stuff. Good for one thing, cleaning engine parts.

Back to hockey. Bowman trade Sharp and Crow for the Sedin twins yet?

Even cold it was terrible. We just drank from the hose. How any of us are still here is a mystery to me.

I do enjoy that movie.

The greatest things about the 80s were Matthew Broderick and Michael J. Fox tbh.

Ew no, Tom Cruise

The best thing about Top Gun is it's a running gag on Archer.

Before he got weird, Tom Cruise was biggest star on the planet and made hit after hit. Every male old enough to like women in the 80's wanted to be him.

Except me, I wanted to be Jon Cryer

It's funny, weird funny, def. not haha funny. I'm thinking maybe Stan did what we all should've done. Turned off the TV, avoided the computer, locked himself in a room and picked up the last Tom Clancy novel (not written by him since his last few were ghost written) to spend a couple hours avoiding hockey.

Refreshed and thinking clearly, he sent Raanta/Hartman down and called Darling/Nordstrom up to create more cap room just in case he wanted to make a move later this week. And then called Darling's agent.

I think more than a few of us, including me, made some knee jerk assumptions and reactions after yesterday. Is the team flawed? Most definitely. Is it looking bad? Sorta. Is it a train wreck like Edmonton or more recently Toronto? Nah, we got a long way to go for that.

Personally, I think Stanbow makes one minor move at the deadine for a defenseman that none of us had on our radar (think handzus two years ago, how many of us thought he was going to be the Hawks trade target).

I don't doubt it, but Tom Cruise will always be that crazy guy who jumped on Oprah's couch to me.

What can I tell you? Its a whole new world. If you don't want your opinion ridiculed or mocked, I would suggest not posting it on an open public forum. Once you do that its pretty much fair game.
- Elbows15

Yeah, I know this. I was just trying to point out that efforts can be made, but the comment about how expensive it could be is bullpoop. Sorry, for attempting to point that out. Jesus Christ.

He's crazy, but is a good actor. I liked him recently in Jack Reacher, Oblivion and loved him in Edge of Tomorrow.
