IMO there would be mutiny in Buffalo if Big Z is traded.
I like the way the Sabres, Nolan is keeping him on a short leash as he develops.
The leaders in the locker room need to get a hold of him...someone take him under their wing.

As for ROR, I'd love to have him, but don't want to overpay for him either. It might be better to just wait until he is a FA and see if the fit/desire is still there. I don't want to see our D corps depleted any further, else we are in the same boat searching for competency.

Grigorenko's mistakes were how he acted when he was in the room and at practice. He thought everything was going to be handed to him. Zads has made some judgement errors in terms of his time management. Major difference. Also, don't forget that Zads couldn't be punished by being sent down. He sat for a long, long time this year.

He's followed all of his principals since day 1. Prove to me that Myers was 'on the block'. Think of it like you would in fantasy sports. There's guys you don't sling in trade offers. But then, lets say, Jordy Nelson or Evgeni Malkin gets injured for 2 weeks, they're made available, and you need those guys. You take your 'I prefer not to trade this guy' to move up, bite the bullet and take on the big offer to get the guy you want.

Slighting Murray because of him trading Myers is short sighted. At no point in time was Myers an untouchable. He was a guy that Murray wasn't making calls about.

I think Murray pretty much admitted that he didn't want to improve his team right now (and thus tanking) by saying that they were fortunate that Kane was hurt. I'm also always surprised when he admits that nobody has called on a given player.

I was mostly kidding. I don't want to get into the Myers thing.

Myers was not being shopped, but was available. Per Murray.

I think both Neuvirth and Enroth will be easy to get back at a reasonable price this summer.


My concern with Zadorov is this team isn't even good yet. We saw how the ego's from out old core grew as that team gained popularity in the post-lockout. I wonder how this kid will be?

If you read into that it does imply that they have talked about him. It isn't surprising that they haven't talked since as we have no desire to bring him in before the summer (and they probably don't either)
