I think he would be nice to play on the 3rd line wing with foligno and girgens

would add speed to the line

- homiedclown

decent goal numbers as well so he can chip in for an injured player. Not a bad option in FA if they're not hot on a guy like Zuccarello or Hagelin.

Fitz mentioned he's a UFA at the end of the year, probably best to just go after him then assuming he doesn't re-sign.

RFA. he made $1.175 this year.
- mhp

I don't really see where he'd fit in next year
McDavid/Eichel, Girgensons, Ennis, Reinhart, Moulson, Gionta, Kane, Foligno, Deslauriers...
Those guys are all here pretty much for sure I'd think
That's 9 guys
Then there's Hodgson, McCormick, Grigorenko & Flynn under contract as well
He doesn't seem like a big enough upgrade over the potential of Grigorenko or the possibility that Hodgson can get backbto a 20goal scorer...
But even if both those guys are gone...
Is he even better than Flynn on the 3rd line or giving Deslauriers 3rd line minutes?
It just doesn't make sense to me to give up assets, even a mid round pick, when u aren't really improving your lineup

yea that actually makes more sense. If that's the case i'd explore a trade there or at the draft.

I think Reinhart will be in Rochester next year and at this point gionta and deslauriers are better suited for the fourth line role.

His speed would be a nice addition to this remarkably slow team.

It does not, also Strachen has an infection and will be out. could we have a McCabe Pysyk sighting? Amerks also have a game today that could be ugly for them. Or do we drop nick back there

Hell no!
That's way too much
Can't we just sign an average UFA if we really want someone for the 3rd line?
That way we won't have to give anything up

Unless Murray is planning on moving multiple forwards already on the roster, I just don't see how bringing him in helps us?

I know I'm in the minority here but I would rather see Reinhart start the year in Rochester. Hodgson should be bought out and who knows where Grigorenko will fit in next year. Lot's of ifs. Since Atkinson has played in 194 NHL games, I'd rather have him for the 3rd line and push DesLauriers down to the 4th. We also don't know about McCormick's health.

Even if he is in Rochester, it'll be a 1 year thing tops.
Atkinson we'd have to sign to a multi year deal, otherwise what's the point?

Why not just sign a free agent for a year & give nothing up?
Unless Murray sees some real potential in him?
But I'm not seeing that at all
Just looks like an average place er to me

He scored 21 goals last year in C-Bus and is on pace for 18-20 this year. Far from average. Throw in his speed for the 3rd line, yep.

According to the prospective Hall Of Fame candidate Mike Harrington, he says if Pysyk is not in the lineup tonight, he 'gives up'.
I hope that is a promise.

I don't think he'll get more than 3 years and i think that'd be ideal if nothing else he can be a stop gap till others are ready and then you can move him or keep him.

Nolan on Zadorov- :We had a number of discussions, and then another thing happened this morning. We'll just talk to him again." Out for disciplinary reasons.
