I don't know if Murray considered Myers " trash " he just wanted a young goal scorer and that was what he moved Myers for. Murray see's Bogosian as a value to this team now and for the future but IMO he seen Myers as yet another asset but a asset that has a lot of value. 2 totally different D men in Myers and Bogosian, Bogo plays the style that Murray wants and Myers didn't, not that Myers is a bad D man because he's not but Murray wanted a different style of player.

And both teams are happy.

Never allow it to be said that I do not have a sympathetic heart.

I feel for you SB.

I just wish the whole thing was over with (Myers talk), I grow weary of the redundancy.

He brings it up.

No one else.

Stupid, backhanded, bitter comments.

If anyone needs to let it go, it's him.

If Murray wants to play a bigger style and tougher style why trade for ROR ? that is his opposite. ROR is not game changer IMO like 29 , 9 and 92 are for the AVS.

It is my opinion that Myers was one of Darcy's players TM didn't want and I used the term trash loosely. I agree, Myers was not the player TM wanted Bogo was.

Tough to play against doesn't always mean being 6'5 and 220. O'Reilly's two way game and good puck possession numbers are what make him a desirable player.

You're right, he's not a game changer like Duchene or Mackinnon but he's still a valuable player. If you can get him without giving up those core players then it may be worth it.

I hear ya, but 'tough' to play against doesn't have to mean big hits and what not. ROR brings a difficult style of play without laying out the big hits. Any team could use his style imo.

I can see TM trading for him if we end up picking 3rd.

Think he played rw most of last year, he scored 28. I'd kick the tires in the offseason but no way would I trade for him now

I can see TM trading for him irregardless of where the Sabres draft. It's hard to know what he thinks of the Sabres prospects in the pipeline, and who he would be willing to give up for him.

I agree with what most have said now on ROR but he is going to try and grab him now rather then wait.

I think this deal comes down to are they willing to move Zadorov for him. That's what they seem to be looking for young nhl d-man capable of playing the left side.

I meant more so of what the Avs want (defenseman). If Hanifin goes 3, and who knows after 1 and 2? I guess it's all preference, but if we ended up picking him, I think it's more likely that we can "afford" to deal a D.

But, you're right. No one knows what TM thinks.

Someone who works at the FNC told me Murray was on the phone for 2 hours with the Avs today.

I don't ever post that stuff, but I've been told about the Miller and Kane deals 30 mins before they were announced so there's definitely something there.

the kane deal seemed to come together pretty quickly, but this ROR stuffs been going on for months now. Anyone's guess where that phone call led to. Even money is on a big "(frank) you" then dial tone

unless murray is really unhappy with zadorovs development i cant see it. The grigorenko/pysyk idea kills two birds with one stone- gets rid of darcys guys and brings in a talented gamer. i admit zadorov is a work in progress, but i dont want him moved at all. Ironic that at the moment pysyk is a much better player and he gets no love whatsoever.

and in no way am I playing fake insider here. Based on what I was told, 89 said, ans LeBrun and McKenzie, I think Murray really wants ROR by the deadline, which is fairly obvious, but still

I like him, but I really hope Murray doesn't give up too much if the Avs get a deal they like.

Well if this trade happens one of the Sabres young Dmen are in the package, the 1st round pick and Grigorenko?

Edit: and the Sabres will get ROR and another piece, maybe a 2nd or a lesser D prospect
