Yup, just like the sabres this season. I just dont think the generational talent comes around enough to justify punishing teams who have very bad seasons for one reason or another. I have always disliked the lottery, am not suprised we didnt win last year, and wont be suprised if we dont again this year.

Exactly what we needed in terms of size, toughness and skating. I love that the core of our team is under 25 and that the D is a little older than the forwards. If we do this right we could have a strong core for years to come.

Sure. I think NBA is the biggest risk. NFL has been mostly hits lately, though.

I wonder if the 935147 hockey leagues and farm system(s) has a lot to do with NHL's success in player drafting. And I don't exactly wonder more than I suspect.

He's just about or freshly entered his prime. Seems like his big knock is he's not as offensively capable as advertised. Maybe he strives in a future system here, or maybe he just crushes face and skates like the wind, then no one with bitsh about his scoring.

I hope NHL deadline day is half as exciting as the NBA deadline this year. Last 30 mins have been incredible.

Yes i have liked what ive seen so far as well. Maybe not quite as explosive in skating as myers but no big drop off. Zadorov looks like he may have the most offensive potential of our young blue line, and i love that we have a big strong defenseman filling a role this team needs who fits the timeline just like myers did.

I liked myers and wanted to see him stay, but i am pumped to see kane in the lineup next year.
