Last nights game is still eating at me. They played a strong 2nd period and the game was there for the taking in the 3rd period. They came out and gave up 3 goals. Shouldn't happen. Even with how inconsistent of a season they've had, a win last night would've put them 4 stinking points out of a playoff spot.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Jagr is very much available. He just don't like the offers coming in.

The offers will get better closer to the deadline.

I'd bring him to this team if he signed a cheap ass deal as a UFA.

The Vinny turnover was too much for a fragile team to overcome.

That's about the only team they could've beaten with that effort.

I got home late, turned on the game just in time to watch Vinny's breakout pass brake back in, and promptly turned the game off.

Niinimaa is one of my all time favorite Oilers....how Slats got him for Dan McHillis was purely amazing.
We used to see jN at all the metal shows in Edmonton, usually he was watching from behind the stage because he got viP treatment. Lots of legendary stories from the locker room about him commandeering the stereo....

I'm still pissed as well.. I can't believe that we had CBJ at home in a must win game..we sleep walk through the 1st, tie it up with a strong 2nd and completely fold on egregious mistakes in the 3rd. They don't deserve to make the playoffs if they blow a 3-1 3rd period lead and then lose at home to CBJ... awful

It's the AHL. Guys like Kris Newbury are PPG players in that league.

Simmonds made the same play in the first, but the Flyers managed to keep that one out of the net. Staggering that Lecavalier made the same mistake 35 minutes later. Like almost a carbon copy.

The AHL is pretty much what the NHL was in the 1980's...loads of scoring, fighting and nastiness
