Rinaldo needs to be traded. Get a pick for him, or a guy that can do the job he did, but smarter. Flyers need some toughness

What GM is going to be dumb enough to give the Flyers anything of value for him? Just banish him to the AHL a la Matt Walker for the next 2 years, or straight-up buy him out after this season (cap hit would be $0.283M for 4 years).

So when Timonen returns, MacDonald is a 5 million dollar 8th dman! Cool!

No reason to buy him out when he can be demoted and completely removed from the cap.

I think your record player is broken as it seems to be stuck on the same track today.

Frees up a contract slot for a real hockey player. But yes, other than that, no reason.

What a bargain. We didn't even have to trade for him.

I was at Nassua Coliseum last night and took in the Rangers/Islanders. Wild franking game. Seats were pretty baller too.

saw the highlights! man that could be a hard loss for the icelanders!!

we had those ice level seats for a couple years at the WFC before they doubled the price a few years back....awesome place from which to watch a game

Call me crazy, but I hate sitting that close. You can't see what's happening at over 1/2 of the ice.

Edit: Glad you enjoyed it, though.

it would be nice to see the top unit show up on the scoresheet tonight

I was just thinking the same thing. Back home. The top line needs to bring the noise and so does the pp. really need this game

our seats were right at the goal line so we could see down the boards to the other end. when the action was down that end it wasn't as good but you could see really well.

My season tix are at the top row, along the goal line where the Flyers shoot 2x, with the bulk of the ice to my right. I asked for those seats specifically because they give you the best view of the overall play and, unlike baseball/football, there isn't a bad seat to be had. Plus I can stand up all game long and no one can complain, but that's just a bonus.

I'm close to the ice, in the corner, towards the end where the Flyers shoot in the 2nd period.

When the puck goes down to the other end, I still follow it ok, but lose in the one corner of the ice. I've pretty much trained myself to look up at the screen when it goes to that particular corner. It's not ideal.

On the other hand, when the action is in the zone in front of me, and bodies are flying into the boards and you can see how skilled they are, up close, it's still pretty amazing to me.

There are pluses and minuses to being that close, for sure.

For football, I would hate to be that close.

They should ask him what he wants and do their best to accommodate him.
- jmatchett383

Doing whats best for him would likely be mutually whats best for them.

They are not a cup-contending team. With or without him.
