Its nuts. Why send the puck back to a dman who has two jackets on him? That means you have odd man numbers going forward and you cant find an outlet pass?
- MBFlyerfan

they seem to be clueless on how to get out of their zone. They're clueless under Berube just like they were clueless under Lavy.

of course, I seem to remember one of the reasons that Lavy was fired was how certain teams like the NYR could so easily pin the Flyers in their own zone. Seems that the same thing happens under Berube.

Flyers had momentum early in the game and looked good, then a bad penalty, and then a bad outlet pass leads to more pressure and a lucky bounce. Columbus then got momentum and turned on the forecheck. Flyers need to stop reversing the puck and start making some quick up plays. Forward need to come back deeper. Losing their gap on several shifts as the jackets have been able to make numerous long cross ice passes. They should be cut for transition plays the other way.

Absolutely need to get B Schenn off that top line. He is just a black hole of nothing. It is absolutely remarkable. There are guys in HERE who could put up points by accident playing with Giroux and Voracek.
- MBFlyerfan

I don't have an issue with Schenn on the top line. When he's good, he's good. Sure we could go back to Raffl but he'll start great like Schenn and die off like Schenn.

I wonder how long its going to take Berube to move Raffl back to the top line

Yeah. Shouldn't be a surprise with how they played vs echl buffalo. Embarrassing.
- Hextall271

They have been outplayed for most of their last three games. The first period vs Buffalo was really the only time, over the past 3 games, where they controlled play. Tonight, they haven't had bounces. The second goal was a flukey one. Puck's rattling around hits Johansen, hits Schenn's stick finds net. First one was a Chinese fire drill after a stupid penalty by Brayden Schenn.

He did say before last game that MacDonald had only one practice between the Montreal and Buffalo games, odd that he's out tonight
- Jsaquella

It's simple....Berube doesn't think he is in there top 6 right now .....he missed one practice and one game day skate....he had said he was disappointed not to play Sunday because he was back and practiced Saturday.....

The Bellemare line made something happen almost every shift. They have 5 of the Flyers 10 shots. They're getting in on the forecheck and getting the puck to the net. Vandevelde is working through checks and winning battles for the puck. Bellermare is skating and getting on the puck as is Lecavalier. Flyers best line that period.

I think the issue is clearly that there is a general lack of ability on the d corps. Coaching can't fix that.

One of their best puck handling and outlet passing defenseman isn't playing.

On the first goal I'm believing Schultz has to be aware of his goaltender and give him space. Very poor start to the PK and two easy for James Wisniewski.

wasn't that the main reason in canning Lavy?

not trying to argue, I just seem to remember that either Snider or Homer inferred that the main thing that had to change was how easily the Flyers were pinned in their own zone.

They gave Laviolette the shiv because they were pissed about missing and they looked like crap that next preseason

Should've been more pissed that they tried to make a guy make the playoffs with Kurtis Foster, Bruno Gervais and the rest of the players who rotated through the defense that season
