They cant solve the Columbus forecheck. They keep dropping pucks back to covered defensemen who are surrounded by white jerseys....in their own zone.

I watch a (frank)-ton of hockey, and it is hard to think of another team that struggles to solve the forecheck like they do

There are other teams that aren't terribly fast, or extremely skilled.

We just might have too many players whose hockey sense is just not cutting it, under fire

Absolutely need to get B Schenn off that top line. He is just a black hole of nothing. It is absolutely remarkable. There are guys in HERE who could put up points by accident playing with Giroux and Voracek.

Its nuts. Why send the puck back to a dman who has two jackets on him? That means you have odd man numbers going forward and you cant find an outlet pass?

It didn't make sense to fire a coach three games into a season, but they did it. I've seen them fire a coach eight games into a season.

I've seen them fire a coach who took them to the Stanley Cup finals THAT SAME OFFSEASON.

I've seen them fire a coach who had to take time off for cancer treatments.

GMs have gotten more rope...but again, not when the team has actually missed the playoffs.

I'm not beating the drum too much. Look at the history of the Philadelphia Flyers, and some people aren't beating it enough

Yes, it did make sense to fire Laviolette based on what happened the previous season. Laviolette had a chance in multiple seasons. Hextall has not had a legitimate chance to put his signature on this team. To suggest that he could be fired at this point is simply crazy.

As far as our forwards go, I would say yes, he is at the top of the list. He probably could get a serviceable return either in the form of a good draft pick or a good prospect.

He just does not seem to be able to find a place here.
