I think almost everyone figured Franson could bring a second maybe late 1st. I don't think this trade was beyond expectations. In particular, Nucker stated many times that a late first was certainly possible.

Poor Jokinen. First time in his carreer that he is on a strong team and he gets traded before the playoffs. I think it would have been only his second playoff appearance. The first one being a ffirst round exit against Chicago.
