Routing for a team to lose is the worst thing to happen to hockey. I am happy for the leafs to stay where they are and draft for the future. You also need to consider the players in this deal. By trading two positive players that where being negatively effected by the situation in Toronto was a win-win move on all fronts. I believe the extra pick and prospect is a nice addition for the leafs.

Ive been a Predators Fan since their inception in 98 and the prospect of adding these two into the mix now under Laviolette's system is nothing short of exciting. I think Franson will be welcomed back by fans with open arms and Santorelli will mix well and add a lot of spark to a team ready to go far.

NJ hasn't even started dumping yet. Tootoo is averaging around 15 minutes a night and Steve Bernier is our 4th leading goal scorer (by one behind Henrique and Jagr). I'm thinking they can hang in the race towards the bottom.
